This recipe delivers crispy sweet potato cubes with a warm cinnamon honey butter, perfect for a quick, comforting snack or side dish. The air fryer crisps the cubes perfectly while the cinnamon honey butter adds a rich, cozy flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut 2 medium sweet potatoes into 1-inch cubes, keeping them uniform for even cooking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon salt, and optional ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  4. Place the cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking or turning the cubes halfway through cooking.
  5. While the cubes cook, mix 2 tablespoons softened butter with 1 tablespoon honey and ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Transfer the sweet potato cubes to a serving dish and drizzle the cinnamon honey butter over the top while warm.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer to ensure crispiness. Toss cubes halfway through cooking for even browning. For extra crispiness, cook 2-3 minutes longer but watch closely to avoid burning. Use unsalted butter to control saltiness. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 5-7 minutes to restore crispness. Avoid microwave reheating to prevent sogginess.
