A simple and delicious slow cooker recipe featuring meatballs coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2430 frozen pre-cooked beef or turkey meatballs
  • ½ cup (120 ml) honey
  • ½ cup (120 ml) garlic sauce (bottled or a mix of soy sauce and minced garlic)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen meatballs, no need to thaw. If fresh or homemade, ensure they are fully cooked or par-cooked before adding. Preheat slow cooker on low.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine ½ cup honey with ½ cup garlic sauce. Stir until fully blended and slightly thick but pourable.
  3. Place meatballs evenly in the slow cooker. Pour honey garlic sauce over meatballs and gently toss to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours until meatballs are heated through and sauce thickens to a sticky glaze.
  5. Optionally stir gently halfway through cooking to ensure even coating.
  6. Check for doneness; meatballs should be hot in the center and sauce glossy. Remove lid for last 30 minutes if sauce needs thickening.
  7. Serve meatballs with extra sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

No need to thaw frozen meatballs before cooking. Cook on low for best flavor and sauce thickness. Stir gently to avoid breaking meatballs. Optionally broil for 2-3 minutes after cooking for caramelized edges. Adjust honey amount if garlic sauce is too salty. Can add red pepper flakes or green onions for extra flavor.
