A quick and easy no-bake dessert dip made with cream cheese, caramel sauce, and a touch of vanilla, perfect for dipping apple slices or graham crackers. Ready in just 10 minutes, it’s ideal for fall gatherings, parties, or a simple weeknight treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/3 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk (optional, for consistency)
  • Apples for dipping (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith recommended)
  • Optional mix-ins: crushed graham crackers, toffee bits, chopped pecans, or a sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Soften your cream cheese: Take it out of the fridge about 30 minutes before starting, or microwave in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  2. Beat the cream cheese: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer on medium speed until completely smooth, about 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides halfway through.
  3. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla: Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat again until combined and fluffy, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the caramel: Add about 1/3 cup of caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling). Beat on low speed until fully incorporated.
  5. Thin it out if needed: Add a tablespoon of heavy cream or milk and beat one more time. The consistency should be thick enough to hold its shape but soft enough to scoop easily.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl: Use a spatula to scrape every bit of dip into a nice bowl. Smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
  7. Drizzle and garnish: Drizzle more caramel sauce over the top. Sprinkle with crushed graham crackers, toffee bits, or chopped pecans if desired. A light dusting of cinnamon is optional.
  8. Slice your apples: Core the apples and cut into wedges. If not serving immediately, toss them in a bowl with a squeeze of lemon juice and a splash of water to prevent browning.
  9. Serve immediately: Best fresh, but holds up for a few hours at room temperature for parties.

Notes

Room temperature cream cheese is essential for a smooth texture. Don’t overmix after adding caramel to avoid thinning. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed. Can be made up to 24 hours ahead; let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving and stir well. For apple slices, toss in lemon water to prevent browning.
