A quick and healthy weeknight dinner featuring crispy air-fried salmon fillets topped with a creamy, tangy lemon dill sauce. Ready in under 20 minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz salmon fillets (skin-on, fresh or thawed frozen)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked paprika optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 lemon (juiced and zested)
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1/2 tsp dried dill)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil or cooking spray. Do not use parchment paper liners.
  4. Place the salmon fillets in the basket skin-side down, ensuring they are not touching or overlapping.
  5. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. While the salmon cooks, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped dill, honey, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl until smooth.
  7. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for 2 minutes.
  8. Drizzle the lemon dill sauce generously over the salmon and serve immediately.

Notes

[‘Ensure salmon is completely dry before seasoning to prevent steaming.’, ‘Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow proper air circulation.’, ‘Let salmon sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before cooking for even results.’, ‘Check for pin bones before cooking.’, ‘If the sauce is too thick, add a teaspoon of water or more lemon juice.’, ‘Fresh dill can burn if exposed to high heat, so mix it into the sauce rather than sprinkling on the fish.’]
