  • 2 cans crescent roll dough (8 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing (optional, for serving)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cooked chicken, buffalo sauce, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and well combined.
  3. Unroll both cans of crescent roll dough and separate into 16 triangles (8 from each can). Arrange the triangles in a circular pattern on the parchment paper, overlapping the wide ends in the center and leaving a gap in the middle.
  4. Spoon the buffalo chicken filling along the wide edge of each crescent triangle.
  5. Roll each crescent triangle from the wide edge toward the point, enclosing the filling inside. Bend each rolled crescent into a circle shape, tucking the point underneath to seal. Place each crescent side by side to form a ring with a hole in the center.
  6. Brush the crescent dough ring with melted butter and sprinkle chopped green onions on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and crispy and the cheese inside is melty and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Notes

Use cooked chicken that is not too wet to avoid soggy dough. Mix cream cheese thoroughly into the filling to create a creamy barrier. Brush dough with melted butter for extra browning and crispness. Let the ring rest 5 minutes after baking to prevent filling spills. For a crispier crust, bake on a preheated pizza stone or finish under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching closely.
