A quick, healthy, and flavorful sheet pan dinner featuring teriyaki-glazed salmon and roasted broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz / 170 g each), skin-on or skinless
  • 4 cups broccoli florets (about 300 g), washed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup (120 ml) teriyaki sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Optional: sesame seeds or chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss broccoli florets with olive oil and minced garlic until evenly coated.
  3. Spread broccoli in a single layer on one side of the sheet pan, avoiding overcrowding.
  4. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place skin-side down on the other half of the sheet pan.
  5. Brush ½ cup teriyaki sauce generously over each salmon fillet and drizzle any leftover sauce over the broccoli.
  6. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes until salmon is cooked through (internal temperature about 125°F / 52°C) and broccoli is tender with caramelized edges. For crispier broccoli, roast 2-3 minutes longer, watching closely.
  7. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes to caramelize the teriyaki glaze, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

Notes

Pat salmon dry before applying sauce to help glaze stick and caramelize. Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure roasting instead of steaming. Use a digital thermometer to check salmon doneness (125°F / 52°C). Broil briefly at the end for a sticky glaze. Adjust cooking times for larger fillets or different ovens. Optional garnishes include sesame seeds and green onions. For gluten-free, use tamari or coconut aminos instead of regular teriyaki sauce.
