Crisp apple slices topped with a warm peanut butter drizzle, melted chocolate, and crunchy toppings. A quick, customizable snack that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith recommended)
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt (plus extra for finishing)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts or almonds
  • 2 tablespoons dried cranberries or raisins
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples. Core and slice into 1/4-inch thick rounds or wedges. Optionally, keep slices in cold water with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine peanut butter, coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir constantly until smooth and warm (1-2 minutes). Alternatively, microwave in 15-second bursts, stirring between each. Add a pinch of sea salt and stir.
  3. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate chips in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth.
  4. Arrange apple slices in a single layer on a large platter or serving board.
  5. Drizzle warm peanut butter mixture evenly over apples, followed by melted chocolate.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts, dried cranberries, shredded coconut, cinnamon, and an extra pinch of flaky sea salt over the top.
  7. Serve immediately while apples are crisp and drizzle is warm.

Notes

Best served immediately. Apples will brown and soften if stored. For nut-free, use sunflower seed butter and skip chopped nuts. For vegan, use maple syrup and dairy-free chocolate chips.
