A refreshing, frothy iced espresso drink made by shaking hot espresso, brown sugar, oat milk, and ice. This copycat recipe recreates the coffee shop favorite at home with a velvety texture and balanced sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots of espresso (approx. 60ml)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup oat milk (Barista edition recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • Ice cubes (full glass)

Instructions

  1. Brew two shots of espresso using a machine or Moka pot.
  2. In a shaker or mason jar, combine the hot espresso, brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon of hot water.
  3. Stir vigorously for 30 seconds until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour in 1 cup of oat milk.
  5. Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  6. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to aerate and chill the mixture.
  7. Fill a serving glass with fresh ice.
  8. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass.
  9. Garnish with extra foam or a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure the sugar is fully dissolved in the hot espresso before adding milk to avoid a gritty texture. Use ‘Barista’ edition oat milk for the best foam. Do not store the shaken drink with milk and ice; store the espresso-sugar mixture separately if prepping ahead.
