Easy Slow Cooker Peach Butter Recipe with Cinnamon Vanilla Perfect for Fall

A cozy and simple slow cooker peach butter recipe infused with cinnamon and vanilla, perfect for fall. This silky spread is easy to make with minimal prep and uses wholesome ingredients.

  • 4 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100 grams)
  • 1 large cinnamon stick or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water (60 ml)

Instructions

  1. Peel, pit, and slice about 4 pounds (1.8 kg) of fresh peaches. This should take around 15 minutes.
  2. Place the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 large cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp ground cinnamon), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, and 1/4 cup water into the slow cooker. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Check around hour 8—when peaches are soft and the mixture smells fragrant, it’s ready for the next step.
  4. Remove the cinnamon stick and discard.
  5. Using an immersion blender, blend the peaches directly in the slow cooker until smooth. Alternatively, transfer in batches to a blender, but be careful with the hot liquid.
  6. Cook uncovered for 1-2 more hours on low or warm setting, stirring occasionally to thicken the peach butter.
  7. Let the peach butter cool for 30 minutes. Transfer to clean jars or containers, seal, and refrigerate.

Notes

Use ripe but firm peaches for best texture. If peach butter is too watery after blending, cook uncovered longer to thicken. Removing the cinnamon stick after cooking prevents overpowering cinnamon flavor. Pure vanilla extract is recommended for best aroma. Frozen peaches can be used if thawed and drained. For sugar-free version, substitute sugar with honey or maple syrup but texture may vary.
