Fresh Peach Agua Fresca Recipe with Lime and Tajin Kick

A quick and refreshing summer drink combining ripe peaches, fresh lime juice, and a spicy Tajin seasoning for a perfect balance of sweet, tart, and savory flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium ripe peaches, peeled and pitted
  • Juice of 2 medium limes
  • 4 cups (32 fl oz) cold filtered water or sparkling water
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons agave syrup, honey, or cane sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Tajin seasoning, plus more for rimming glasses
  • Ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  1. Peel peaches by blanching in boiling water for 30 seconds, then plunge into ice water. Pit and roughly chop peaches (about 10 minutes).
  2. Place chopped peaches in blender. Add fresh lime juice and 1 teaspoon Tajin seasoning. Pour in half of the cold water (2 cups). Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-45 seconds.
  3. Pour peach mixture into a pitcher. Add remaining water and sweetener. Stir until dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice as needed (about 5 minutes).
  4. Add ice cubes to pitcher or glasses. Rim glasses with lime juice and dip in Tajin. Pour agua fresca over ice, garnish with lime wheel or peach slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a smoother drink, strain blended mixture before adding water and sweetener. Use sparkling water for a fizzy twist. Frozen peaches can be used to chill the drink naturally. Adjust Tajin seasoning to taste to avoid overpowering the peach flavor. Fresh lime juice is preferred over bottled.
