Spooky Witches Brew Green Punch: 5-Min Easy Halloween Drink

Spooky Witches Brew Green Punch - featured image

A simple, nostalgic, and visually striking Halloween punch made with lime sherbet and lemon-lime soda. This non-alcoholic drink creates a creamy, frothy head and eerie green color, perfect for parties or quiet spooky moments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 to 6 cups lime sherbet
  • 1 (2-liter) bottle lemon-lime soda
  • Green gel food coloring (optional, for deeper green hue)
  • Dry ice (optional, for fog effect)
  • Gummy worms or black licorice (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes (optional, to maintain temperature)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a large 2-quart or 3-quart glass pitcher by ensuring it is clean and dry. For extra chill, freeze the pitcher for 30 minutes beforehand.
  2. If using dry ice, place it in the bottom of the pitcher using tongs or pliers. Otherwise, add a few ice cubes to keep the drink cold.
  3. Scoop half of the lime sherbet into the pitcher, creating a base layer.
  4. Slowly pour the lemon-lime soda over the sherbet to prevent overflow. The mixture will foam vigorously.
  5. Add a few drops of green gel food coloring if a darker, spookier green is desired. Stir gently with a long spoon to distribute color without deflating the foam.
  6. Top with the remaining lime sherbet to create a creamy peak.
  7. Add gummy worms or licorice for garnish if desired.
  8. Serve immediately with ladles or cups while the drink is still fizzy and frothy.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best texture, as the foam settles and soda goes flat quickly. Do not freeze leftovers as dairy content will separate. If using dry ice, handle with gloves/tongs and ensure it is fully sublimated before drinking. For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut milk ice cream, though flavor will differ.
